Boys to Men - Georgia | Mentoring Young Men | Mentoring Today's Youth | Helping Boys Become Better Men

Remarkable Success

The remarkable success of the first San Diego, California program inspired men in other parts of the country to start local Boys to Men Mentoring Networks. In 2001 the program expanded to Minnesota and Portland, Oregon. In 2002 they started BTM Networks in Washington D.C., Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Arizona, and Ashland. In 2003 Illinois and Colorado joined the program. More recently, Georgia followed suit.

Our goal is to create a model program that can be replicated on a community level to help young men throughout the state of Georgia. Strategic expansion and funding support are critical to expand and preserve this highly successful volunteer program for boys.

BTM has aligned with the Centre for Management and Technology; a non-profit based in Baltimore, MD. CMT is our business partner whose expertise is developing and implementing management and operational standards for Non-Profits.

We have identified a number of strategic pieces critical to the successful expansion of Boys to Men nationally:
  • Develop and support local leadership.
  • Marketing and recruiting of new mentors.
  • Creating effective outreach programs for boys.
  • Forming cooperative relationships with existing youth programs.
  • Supporting our existing chapters with follow up training and leadership development.
